Dollhouse Shingles – How to apply
-
Draw lines on the roofs to locate the top edge of each course of shingles.
-
Draw the line of the first course at 1 shingle length from the lower edge of the roof.
-
Draw subsequent lines at one inch intervals.
-
Glue one shingles row at a time, starting at the bottom edge. Use a Panel adhesive (such as liquid nails or a glue gun). Do not use water based glue.
-
Put a fine line of glue about ¼ inch below the pencil line all the way across the roof.
-
Press down the shingles, squeezing out extra glue. The next row of shingles will cover up the glue squeezings.
-
Fine tune the location of the shingles by sliding them in the wet glue so that the tops of the shingles line up with the pencil line.
Make sure each row of Dollhouse Shingles is staggered from the previous row so that the joints don’t line up.Trim the shingles which overhang the roof edges before attaching them, or several days after when the glue is completely dry.

Well you will have to measure out the area of the roof, one back of 400 shingles will cover approx 225 square inch.
take a look at this page http://www.the-doll-house-cafe.com/dollhouse-shingles-sidings-tiles-stucco.html , where you can get inspiration to what type of shingles you like
