Porcelain dolls are ideal for any avid collector because of the precision that is put into every doll. From the delicate faces to the beautifully crafted hands, every little detail brings memories back from your childhood.
While dolls used to be something to play with, as an adult they can be something to cherish and treasure. You can display them however you would like throughout the home and purchase a wide array of different dolls. Regardless of whether you would like a newborn baby doll, a beautiful young lady, or a happy family, there is a little bit of everything for you to choose from on the market.
You will quickly learn that it can be an overwhelming process determining what kind of porcelain dolls you would like. There are hand-crafted dolls that come in limited numbers, antique dolls that are scarce, limited edition dolls that are mass-produced in a limited amount, and reproductions that are essentially knock-offs of antique and rare dolls.
The key is determining what kind of porcelain dolls you desire and sticking with that particular style. Opening the door to any and every style of doll that is porcelain will only lead to frustration due to the overwhelming amount of options there are to choose from.

There are a number of rooms throughout your dollhouse that need to be furnished. While it can be a tedious process, keep in mind this is why you invested in such a hobby; because it is fun. As you begin to shop for dollhouse furniture, focus your attention on four rooms in particular.

The first room that deserves your attention is the bedroom. If you have multiple bedrooms, your best bet is to shop for sets as this can save you a great deal of money. Some of the essential items you will need include a bed, dresser, nightstand and wardrobe. Take a look at the miscellaneous items as well to make sure you cover everything.
The next room to think about is the living room. The beauty of dollhouse furniture is that you can do whatever you want with each room. For the living room, try to come up with a specific theme or style you want to convey. Options to consider for this room include a couch, light, fireplace and chairs.

Dollhouse kitchen
Moving on, the kitchen is important as people spend quite a bit of time here. This is a rather simple room to furnish as you need the essentials such as a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and kitchen table. However, you can spice it up with an island or a classy stove.

Dollhouse bath room
The final room to focus on when shopping for
dollhouse furniture is the bathroom. As with the kitchen, this is basic knowing you need a sink, toilet, and bathtub or shower if it is a full bathroom. Take a look to see what kind of accessories you can add to your bathroom to personalize it such as a mirror or towel rack.

-
Draw lines on the roofs to locate the top edge of each course of shingles.
-
Draw the line of the first course at 1 shingle length from the lower edge of the roof.
-
Draw subsequent lines at one inch intervals.
-
Glue one shingles row at a time, starting at the bottom edge. Use a Panel adhesive (such as liquid nails or a glue gun). Do not use water based glue.
-
Put a fine line of glue about ¼ inch below the pencil line all the way across the roof.
-
Press down the shingles, squeezing out extra glue. The next row of shingles will cover up the glue squeezings.
-
Fine tune the location of the shingles by sliding them in the wet glue so that the tops of the shingles line up with the pencil line.
Make sure each row of Dollhouse Shingles is staggered from the previous row so that the joints don’t line up.Trim the shingles which overhang the roof edges before attaching them, or several days after when the glue is completely dry.
